What suprised me in this exercise?

After I took the Google search lessons, I thought I understood everything in the lesson. When I took the quiz, I realized I need to go back to the lesson because many of the things I am not very clear. My experience is that the lessons with video clip is much easy to remember compared to the lesson in pure text.

  1. I had a similar experience. It may have to do with the different learning styles. I enjoyed the videos and understood them pretty well but when it came to the questions I was rather lost. It took me a long time to do the test and I had to go back and forth many times with breaks in between.

  2. I agree completely about the videos being easier to remember. I found myself hoping/looking to see if the new lesson had a video.

  3. I also had to go back and review some of the lessons once I tried the quiz. Then when answering some of the questions sometimes I felt like I was giving the right answer to the wrong question. I also found that the video clips were easier to understand than some of the plain text to be read.

  5. Like you, I found the information presented in the lessons to be straightforward. However, it took me a long time to complete the quiz. Perhaps I made it a difficult experience? Either way, "searching" for the right answers was time consuming!

  6. Yep- we all seem to love the videos! They provided so much more straight-forward information than the lessons. I love the intention behind the Google lessons (help the teacher help the student), but teachers like us seem to need even more support!

  7. It WAS a hard quiz. I ended up reading it and printing it...that way, I could easily go back and refer to the specific questions.
About the videos..I liked the Common Craft movies a lot. The Google developer was about 7 minutes too long.

  8. Oh the "hard" quiz set the bar but I am glad to see everyone working so hard at it.
